Retreat in the City with Jean Vanier

Carol helped organise the Retreat in the City event attended by L'Arche Community founder Jean Vanier.

Dove templates supplied by Faith and Light and L'Arche communities worldwide.

Carol was part of the planning group for the retreat, which took place in March 2007 at the Gilles Centre, Edinburgh. and took responsibility for co-ordinating the worship. She worked with an ecumenical group of clergy planning and leading some of the worship: Jock Dalrymble, Ali Newell, Mark Davidson and Steve Butler.

Carol was responsible for creating the space and in order to do so emailed a dove template to all the Faith and Light and L’Arche communities around the world asking them to write, decorate and send messages of peace to the retreat. A great way to get post!!
