Event Details

The workshop will combine practical artwork, silence, short reflections on Lent themes, and plenty of space for you to use the time as you wish. You are welcome wherever you are on your own spiritual and artistic journeys. No artistic experience is needed. We recommend that you come prepared to get messy!

The cost of the day is £40 per person. This includes all art materials, lunch, coffee and biscuits. Soup, bread and fruit is provided for lunch.

The day will be led by Jane Edwards and Margot Dunnachie on behalf of Soul Marks, which is dedicated to encouraging the use of the visual arts as a tool for prayer, worship and community.

Jane has trained to offer Retreat Guiding and Spiritual Accompaniment within the Ignation tradition and also works as a BACP accredited Counsellor-Psychotherapist, group facilitator and trainer. She has worked with Carol Marples of Soul Marks offering Art and Prayer Days in recent years. Jane finds her own and others artwork invaluable in her own prayer life.

Margot studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee specialising in textile design, later working as a graphic designer. She has attended Soul Marks workshops, & facilitated workshops and a retreat using art in prayer.
