About the Artist

Carol Marples has been involved in creating visuals for workship and running art and prayer workshops throughout Scotland for the past 15 years.

Since graduating from Edinburgh College of Art in 1988 as a tapestry artist, she has continued to exhibit and lead workshops for all ages and abilities. In 2000 Carol completed the Spiritual Direction course at the House of Prayer, Nile Grove, Edinburgh. She continues to work with the L’Arche Community and the Leith School of Art.

Soul Marks was established in 2003 to further the ministry that Carol had already begun in many places. Carol regularly works with sessional workers on certain projects.
